Biology Field Study

  Same spot photograph: Date: November 28, 2022  Time: 3:40pm Temperature: 40°F Climate conditions: Light cloud cover, windy, cool Sunrise: 7:52 am           Sunset: 5:13pm          Observations: No green plants, everything is brown and dead at this time, minus the pine trees. I heard some crows in the distance, I didn't end up seeing any wildlife only hearing those crows. I've noticed that the amount of sounds have drastically decreased from what I remember from my first visit. As I was doing my EDD I was looking for my Poison Ivy plant and I was digging through leaves and what I saw was that moisture under the leaves was causing a white fluffy mold to grow.

Sunrise: 7:32 am           Sunset: 5:25pm          Observation Pictures and Video: Ive noticed that even though most of the plants I've been studying are almost completely dead but surprisingly I found one flower left, which was one of the last plants left which surpised me.

Sunrise: 8:15 am           Sunset: 6:41pm          Observations: Lots of dead branches falling from trees though not too big as well as I heard lots of movement by leaves crunching by small animals. For once I did not hear any bug sounds. I saw a flock of crows as well as heard them while doing my original research. While visiting I also saw someone on the mountain bike trail.         Relation to Awe and Stewardship: It's amazing that a small environment can be home to so many creatures, especially when it's located in more of a suburban area which has roads and many homes. I am glad that the church kept the woods when the property was bought, it is a home to many animals which are in need of a place of shelter from people. Even though paths a...

Sunrise: 7:51am           Sunset: 7:12pm          Observations: Heard dead sticks occasionally falling from trees. Some flowers are still in late bloom, golden rod attracted a bumble bee which I saw.           Other Impressions: I have noticed that there hasn't been an increase of traffic but as I return to my location the car sounds from the road nearby have been increasingly more and more noticeable. Natural sounds such as bugs and bird noises are starting to seem to decrease in amount.

Sunrise: 7:29am           Sunset: 7:48pm           Observations: Smelled a small bit of pollen from goldenrods, heard branch break, heard crickets, heard constant bugs, saw small bugs in air, mosquitoes, saw cars leaving parking lot and could see traffic passing by on the road.
